John,

Is St. Galation feastday honored today in the Holy Church ?

Thanks, John

Hello, David.
I considered including Sts. Galation and Episteme (husband and wife) in the list, but decided against it because two sources I consulted expressed great doubt that they were real people. One of the sources states:
"It is now generally agreed that these two martyrs never existed: they are simply the hero and heroine in what may be described as the Christian, continuation of the romance of Clitophon and Leucippe."

I find this kind of thing from time to time. When I do, I sometimes decide not to list the saint(s), but there is nothing to keep you from believing that they were real, if you feel moved to do so. Some early record-keeping was not as precise as we wish it could have been.
