This came up on another forum, and I was informed that this refrain was from an old song, something about "Going down to Santa Fe town to see the big fiesta" and with the refrain of "Perk-a-deedle-di-dle-um-tweet-tweet". Has anyone ever heard of this song, know the name, or where additional lyrics might be found?

Actually, the first part is more than I knew last week. My father used to sing just the refrain sometimes,I don't think he knew the rest of it himself, and I suspect that it may be a regional song that he learned in Texas when he was stationed there during WWII.
