I was thinking about shiping my truck to hawaii. Is the public transit good enuff to get me around with out a truck?

I am planning on shipping a chevy 14'box bed truck to hawaii... Do you have records of quotes from shipper, do you know if household good can be loaded... What ever information you have that you think I can use, is appreciated... In reference to your concerns, I am from Hawaii and although currently in los angeles, I go twice a year to visit... I can confirm the public transportation is excellent for almost all of the island of Oahu.... If there is more specific information you need, feel free to ask.
