Oh, these are fun distractions! And I'm not an orangutan!

-Öndótt Oakenhorse

oh gosh.........Edna Quickjaw???? Please don't tell my husband!!!

-- diane (gardiacaprines@yahoo.com), November 10, 2001.

Bera Sheeptipper! They said I was too nice to be a real Viking. I must be quite a disappointment to my Norse ancesters.

-- Bonnie (seraphina17@hotmail.com), November 10, 2001.

I already am a real Viking.

-- sheepish (WA) (the_original_sheepish@hotmail.com), November 10, 2001.

Hey, that's Moi to you buddy! heeheeheehee! Fraid that I would be the viking that stayed home and watched over the baby skullcrushers! Leafslayer? What? Did they see what we had for dinner last night? heeheeheeheehee!

-- Moieder Leafslayer! (davidl41@ipa.net), November 10, 2001.

Well, Leafslayer is better than what it came up with when I typed in Nancy.....Dogchaser! UGH!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), November 10, 2001.

Móeiđr Quickmouth, (I can't even pronounce my first name!) and I don't make much of a Viking. I'm too polite.

-- Nancy in Maine (paintme61@yahoo.com), November 10, 2001.

I looove my name.....Birna Swifthawk!! Cool! This is much better than my fat hobbit name!

-- Bren (wayoutfarm@skybest.com), November 10, 2001.

Tanni Strongbear - I'm a fearsome Viking, but am not completely uncivilized. The other Vikings make fun of me for that. I have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. I'm not a "berserker", but I'm among the toughest sane Vikings around.

-- TomK(mich) (tjk@cac.net), November 10, 2001.

Well apparently my name would be: Öndótt Stronghorse

-- Anita in NC (aholton@mindspring.com), November 10, 2001.

Jokull Wulfmangler. A berserker that rushes into battle with no clothes on. Other people don't like me only fear me. Guess I have chosen the right lifestyle, self reliant and isolated. Wonder if this could be why I prefer a "Go Away" mat for our front door. :>)

-- Jay Blair in N. AL (jayblair678@yahoo.com), November 10, 2001.

Hi, just had to try- I'm Elina Madgoat, have too much of an attitude, if I were a guy they'd probably kill me (since I am a woman I guess they do other things with me...!). Now I am certain why I am never really comfortable in the workplace, & why I am working at being self- sufficient!!! - Elina

-- Helen, in WI (applebake@cybrzn.com), November 11, 2001.

I came up with Alof Strongnose. Whats up with that?? Maybe its cuz I wasn'tas tough as the other Vikings.

-- Alison in N.S. (aproteau@istar.ca), November 11, 2001.

Jodis Ironcow...okay..NOT FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-- Jenny (auntjenny6@aol.com), November 11, 2001.

"the people you despise laugh at you when they see you sucking up to your superiors. Due to your gregariousness, you don't strike fear into the hearts of your victims. Try to be a little more surly in the future."

-- westbrook (westbrook_farms@yahoo.com), November 11, 2001.

Hi - had to do it again, I don't think I was honest. It gave me Elina Shieldflattener (which sounds painful - even the plated armor back then was, uh, flat, made for men...) or am I to sit on this shield??? I had to confess, I am more aggressive than I let on - but it still summed my personality the same; well what can you expect from a baked apple??? Helen

-- Helen, in WI (applebake@cybrzn.com), November 11, 2001.

Kađlín Stronghawk

You're a fearsome Viking, but you aren't completely uncivilized. The other Vikings make fun of you for that. You are strong and tireless, frequently shouldering burdens that would tire lesser women.

Other Vikings would consider you "one of the guys" if you were a guy. (But even though you're a woman, they still think you're all right.)

You don't have a lot of tact, so it's lucky Vikings never cared much for diplomacy. You sometimes come off as a bit of a snob. Vikings are not snobbish people -- they either like you, or they kill you. Try to be more like a Viking.

Sounds just like me!

-- Cindy in KY (solidrockranch@msn.com), November 12, 2001.

Oh Odin! "Leafslayer?!', 'Ironcow!?', ah but 'Madgoat' is my fave so far. So ja you are a real viking allready, ja, wots your name? :) I think you swing your hammer so hard you flatten shields? Yeah I thought the viking personality fit more of us homseteader/ back to the land types than your average hairy toed ground dweller personality. +snicker+ -> Bonecrusher

-- bj pepper in C. MS. (pepper.pepper@excite.com), November 12, 2001.

HA! Laugh all you want to bj! You have never seen me with a weedwacker! The one, the mighty, the only, Leafslayer! HA! Killer of the bermuda grass and enemy of the Fescue!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), November 12, 2001.

Ah Mighty Leafslayer, care to test your sweaty sinews against Mississippi Bahailia[->sp?] grass. 5' tall 'shrub' w/ roots that look like ginger roots, the ag agent says its just 'pasture grass'. I told him I don't want to meet the animals that graze this stuff! So don your armor mighty Valkyrie and do battle Vahalla awaits! And i think there is a couple of pear trees in there too.

-- bj pepper in C. MS. (pepper.pepper@excite.com), November 13, 2001.

Not a problem....now where did I put that trusty little chainsaw attachment for the weed whacker?........

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), November 13, 2001.

Ah, apparently, MANY of the Madgoat tribe settled in Wisconsin!!!

Personally, Leafslayer can come on over to my place, I've got the shredder all set up and ready to go.

It could always be worse -- I sent this a while back to some SCA friends of mine, and one turned out to be 'Ferretflattener' and another one 'Goatchaser'.

-- jodis madgoat (rumplefrogskin@excite.com), November 13, 2001.

Wow! I am a softy when it comes to free mulch! If I bag it can I keep it. Oooooooh Hoooooney, this dump truck full of leaf mulch followed me home...can I keep it! heeheeheehee! Oh you all do go on! :~)!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), November 13, 2001.

Oh, forgot to say....Ironcow! Don't feel bad! And Mad goat! It could be worse! YOu could have been Iron goat and Mad cow! heeheehee! Better than Leafslayer! How intimidating is that!? I can only scare away poison ivy!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), November 13, 2001.

Álöf Oakengoat

Your Viking Personality: You're a fearsome Viking, but you aren't completely uncivilized. The other Vikings make fun of you for that. . Vikings are not snobbish people -- they either like you, or they kill you. Try to be more like a Viking.

-- Beth Van Stiphout (willosnake@hotmail.com), November 14, 2001.

Hail & well met fair Madgoat, I recieved this viking link from SCA folks up in Kalamazoo! None of my fellow Society members down here recieved 'goat' in any of their names...must be a yankee thing ? +snicker, snicker+

-- bj pepper in C. MS. (pepper.pepper@excite.com), November 14, 2001.

SCA in Kalamazoo??? I didn't know they still had a group there. My son used to participate at events in Battle Creek years ago and I didn't stay in touch to know when their events were after he moved away.

-- diane (gardiacaprines@yahoo.com), November 14, 2001.

Yeah, Still SCA in Kalamazoo,MI. My friends were so happy. they had moved there for a job in sept., no family up there, both southerners, never seen a winter in their lives, she was due in nov. So one of the first things she did is look up the local chapter of the Society. Voila! instant community of like minded/crazy/garb wearing people. Who promptly explained chains/snow tires to them.:0
