I was named Ruth in honor of my dad's only sibling who was stillborn. Esther is another favorite of mine. By the way, I have a sister-in-law named Naomi.

Ruth would be one, also Mary, mother of Jesus, always wondered how she dealt with everything!

I would have also said Ruth, because she was so obedient to doing what was best, then when Naomi told her what she should do, she obediently layed at Boaz's feet, even though, she didn't know him. BUt another woman, would be Mary Magdeline, she was soo ready to hear Jesus teach her and she sat at His feet to listen to what He had to say. And she used her expensive ointment to wash His feet. And that Ointment was a real sacrifice for her to give up because of how costly it was. Esther is also one of my favorites, because she was well favoured with everyone. People knew her for her stature and godliness.

Has to be Mary, for many obvious reasons. Right behind her is Priscilla, a real church planter with her husband.

Oh, is this thread only for women?

My favourites are Sarah, who led an imperfect life but was still used of God; Abigail, who had a living nightmare for a husband yet stayed strong in the Lord and did not become bitter; and the collection of women who supported the Lord during His ministry and were the first to the tomb after His burial--3 or 4 Marys, Salome, Susanna, Joanna.

My favorite is Esther. She was loyal to her calling, despite the threat of death, and she saved her people from execution.
