Roman Catholic / Anglican need some help !!!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

My fiance and I are joining in marriage,we have known each other for 8 years and agree that the time is right.I am Roman Catholic and she is Anglican,we have herd so many storys about RC/Ang marriages and need a question answered......If we decide to marry in a Roman Catholic Church, does she have to convert or change her religion to Roman Catholic, some people say that it depends on the priest or the church.I have been part of my church for almost 30 years and would love to be married in my church, and so would my fiance, but she would like to keep her own religion, and I feel she has the right to do so.Any information you can give would help alot !!! Thank You

Very simple answer, Shawn ...
She will not have to become a Catholic. Through your pastor, you may request your bishop's permission for a "mixed marriage."
Praying for her eventual conversion,
John
