If you are a buyer then: try late 18th/19th Classical, Impressionist and Cubism – something colourful, sharp images (decorative) and painted or sculpture. If looking for concept, then look for Contemporary artist of late 20th (1990-2000), And if you like to get into a style – research and scrutinise your own concepts.

2 years later i have come up with a new answer for what is hot in art today... when an artist can portray a wholistic concept by the use of metaphors, scientific and medical images and an over all feeling of peace. amazing art helps a viewer put larger than life questions into perspective.
