A nifty freeware program to search and replace text in a directory

For my web pages, I use a shareware text and html editor. When I change, as I did recently, my message board, I had (and still have) links on a jillion pages. Today I changed links on 16 pages in about two minutes with the Win Easy 1.0 program. It will search all your files within a directory to search and replace a word, phrase, sentence, or paragraph. A real time-saver! Perhaps some fancy programs will already do this, but it was a great tool for me to find. Here's the author's description:

Program Description:

Win Easy was developed primarily for searching and replacing text from multiple files in a directory. I have found this program to be especially useful and time saving when used on large websites with many html files.

Features:

Ability to search all subdirectories for files. Backup files can be created if desired. Win Easy can bet set to ask your permission before opening each file. Case sensitivity can be turned on and off. Can be set to ignore characters such as spaces, tabs and carriage returns.

The program can be downloaded at http://www.fluid3d.com. It has been a life-saver to my Internet work.

Wouldn't you know it: I didn't doublecheck the link given in the program's information box, so the author, Thomas Atwood, has apparently shut down his site. I did find some other similar programs here, though, if you're interested.

I haven't gotten into download technology, but if somebody was interested, we could try setting something up to let you download from a copy of my program. I think that would be within the confines of permissibility, considering its freeware.
