Have you forgotten how downtrodden you were last week?

they score two goals in a game and they're gloating, proud so proud

They were potential league champions on The Three Legends yesterday. No, really.

well Dougal if you can find 10 teams better than us, then it's easy to see Sunlun as champions

-- Anonymous, November 20, 2001

SK - you'd be tragic if you weren't so funny! You beat Leeds, is that the 4th win of the season so far? Good for you.

MacB, I said that I saw 10 teams better than NUFC and SAFC.

How can there be 10 team better than both NUFC and Sunlun?? Are you prophesising a tie for 11th place in the EPL Dougs? Must be worth a fair few notes down at the bookies that must. ;-)

Screach, that's eminently possibly. Same points, same GD. Would it go on alphabetics. In which case, we'd be above Sunderland.

Show me where I have mentioned Sunderland on this thread please!!

As for sunday I was not overwhelmed at all by it.We played ok ,not brilliant.I have supported Sunderland long enough to know about not getting carried away.I will leave that to the new fans .

but Kev I thought all the Sunlun fans had been going for ever, unlike the 'glory' (what glory ? ) hunters at Newcastle ??

-- Anonymous, November 21, 2001

Sadly not.

I can see it but the 'always been going' cannot see it.

It is the same at Nufc and Safc,as well as a lot of football clubs.

I saw it start after the 90 world cup and the momentum was taken up by Sky television and the all-singing,all-dancing Premier league/ship.

Question someones loyalty and they will go up the wall.

Ask them to back their story up and the truth will out.

Boro had the right idea when they moved grounds.

Existing ST holders are called Red book holders and get slight priority over the new ST holders.

I would qualify as a Red book holder many times over but I am not seen this way at the 'new'Sunderland.

As a result I cannot get away match tickets as work restricted it when the 'loyalty points' scheme started( the same time as the Stadium move!'.

I earned my loyalty points trailing around the country hoping to scrape a draw at the likes of Peterboro and recieving a 5-2 humping.

Still we won there 3-1 the next season!!

Oh and Macbeth, glory when mentioned at newcastle is not quite right.

However you have had more reason to go than your average Sunderland fan.

YOu have not suffered as we have(div 3,many years in div 2)

Also you have had players that people will go to watch.

Gazza,Beardsley,Keegan ,Waddle,Aspirila,Ginola etc etc etc.

We have had............................?

You've had your namesake. That Arca's a bit tasty. Besides which, we are permanently being told that you are the sensible supporters who would prefer to watch a 1-0 win while we'd prefer to lose 4-3 so our supporting predilections should cancel your point out...

My namesake,Superkev ,has only been here since 97.

What about all the bleak years before that?

You lot have not known suffering like a Sunderland fan.

-- Anonymous, November 21, 2001

Hey haway superkev, give ower man - you've got me crying me eyes oot heor!
Aah reckon we've had bad times worse than your bad times, leyk.
