I heard a sermon this past Sunday that I am just now realizing the meaning. The minister said that God spoke the world into existence and it is his words that keep it going. He also said that we live by his word. I was then reminded that Jesus said after fasting for 40 days that " Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God". This statement was made in response to satan's temptation to " turn stones into bread" for food. I have come to believe that everything we do must be by the word of God. Perhaps that explains so much of the confusion in the church from time to time.
