happy thanksgiving

Well David says it is too late in the day to say this but:

Happpy Thanksgiving folks.

We had a really splendid day with a good friend from WI visiting with her 4 kids, my sister, spouse, and their 2 kids and dad. We worried because our turkeys were not as big as last years but there was an incredible amount of food left over. Lots of fun, a musical concert from the kids (can you belive flute, french horn, sax, drums and violin were all played???). Hoping you all enjoyed the fellowship and family as much as we were able to. Happy Thanksgiving.

Glad you day went well Kim. Happy Thanksgiving to you. We had a quiet day and I finally got the last of the glad bulbs dug and one of the small flower gardens cleaned off. Managed to talk to all the children and grandchildren. Nearest daughter and family will be here Sunday. take care

Hope all of you had a truly thankful Thanksgiving. Ours was lots better than I'd expected...daughter-in-law did a great job with the dinner she made (with MY son's help of course :-)!! And a good time was had by all!!

49 kin folk sitting down to eat together at lunch time; more in later for dessert. Lots of laughs, hugs, gossip and photos being traded back and forth. Stretch pants predominating. Ate three different types of pie, 2 kinds of cheeseball, chips, dip, hors d'oeuvres and there must have been some turkey on that plate somewhere 'cause boy, oh boy did I ever have to fight to stay awake last night at work!! A happy, joyous day; in spite of missing those who couldn't be with us - Ryan, serving in Kuwait; Betsy, Steph and Alicia all at work at the hospital; Uncle Bill in the hospital. Took up a collection for a family member who lost their job through a plant shut down; I remembered when they did the same for me 10 years ago and was happy to have the chance to repay the genrosity shown me. Year round, I am so very thankful for my family; and also for you, my friends. May you all be as blessed as I feel I am. Hugs to you all...

Happy Thanksgiving! and NO, it's not too late! Isn't being thankful an all time thing?

We had a discussion going on another board about how many family members didn't understand/believe that we could feel so close to people we'd never laid eyes upon. I contend that sharing your experiences and your lives is what makes you friends! I am thankful for friends, cyber and "real-time"! :-)

I took the dog for a very LONG walk yesterday, in the woods. I cooked myself a turkey dinner. I talked to family on the phone. It was a good day! Nice and quiet in the area with most everyone out of town or at least indoors having their dinners.

Having a dog sounds like something to be very thankful for. (One of these days, we'll have one, too!) Ah, and a nice, quiet walk!!!!

I hope you all had a pleasant Thanksgiving! I guess we did! Somehow I remember cooking a 20lb turkey, assembling a lot of food, doing a lot of dishes, and relaxing (finally!) in the hot tub with family later in the evening. Sure went fast, though!

I *did* go to bed at 8:45 Friday night and got up today (Saturday) at 8:15, though! Must be gettin' old...just a little dinner party for a few folks....!!
