A Great Laundry Product

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

We have hard water with a lot of iron in it. We do not have a water softening system at all, which would allow me to add the iron-out products to remove iron. I found the most wonderful liquid laundry detergent to use that keeps the orange out of our clothes. I also no longer need to use stain removers, fabric softner, or any product to stop static cling. It is not inexpensive to buy, but when I consider that it saves the need to buy any other laundry products or a water softening system, then it is not too bad.

The reason I tried this product was due to an Amish lady's testimony that it removed the orange color due to the iron in their well water. I gave it a try and love it!! I have been using it for about one year now. Oh yes, it is called Our Laundry Detergent and is a concentrate, biodegradable, phosphate free, septic system safe, and cold water active. I do not sell this detergent but guess I sound like a commercial for it :-).

I have never heard of it. Where did you buy it?

Melissa,

I buy mine from some people in Mansfield, Ohio. Their address is 190 N. Stewart Road, Mansfield, OH 44905 and their number is 800-747- 3345. I live too far away to pick mine up and it's the shipping that makes it expensive. My husband and I are planning to make a trip to that area (just for fun) and while there buy a year's worth or more.

Thanks Terry and Rose!

Can you give us an idea of the cost/value? I went to the website, but there was no price or price comparison. I am very interested in this since we have iron in our water, too. Thanks!

Jo,

I just placed an order in July and the price was $32.00 for a case (6 - 64 oz. bottles - ask them about this though,I'd hate to be wrong about it being 6 - I have a terrible memory anymore). However, the UPS shipping from Mansfield, OH to our house in NW Ohio, was $9.00.
