windstorm and power out

Anyone else lose power with this front? We are in NE and didn't even get the worst of the weather. Still, we had our power go off for three hours. (kids got a little chilly, but they came into our room) It came back on in time for getting ready for school. My sister up north is getting snow. Everyone ready for bad weather??? I even got the snow fence up early. After last year...I really want to be ready! Thankfully the chickens have molted and are fully feathered again. No naked birds here!

We are in Colorado; have had a lot of snow here, starting about Friday, but fortunately no power outages yet! Hubby is concerned because our house is pretty much all electric. We have two pellet stoves, which heat nicely, but need electricity, and two wood fireplaces, but no wood;) He's been thinking we need to get some, just in case.

We've had rain on and off here for the last few days, but nothing too bad.

Some of my chickens are still molting, though fortunately it hasn't been too cold here yet.

Got a few little things I want to do yet, but the house itself is ready for winter.

Would you believe we've been in the 80's the last couple of days. This is crazy! I guess I shouldn't complain but I really like cold weather and snow so I'm really not enjoying this.

80's!!! Wow! My husband said something about snow and Texas, I know my sister up north is getting snow. Seems to be going around NE and we are getting cold and wind.

The kids can not wait for snow :o) They have snowmen long overdue to make.

I will be using a fake address in the future. There are viruses EVERYWHERE today and yesterday. All from forums I have posted to. (maybe someone saved the address or something) Yahoo and a country one on Lusenet have had a sender to me. Deleted right away.

I had the pleasure of driving through it!!!! Yeah! God held it back for awhile tho.

I still haven't gotten my new chimney that I ordered in August, so I hope the power doesn't go out as it will get really chilly in here if it does. it's supposed to warm up again this weekend to the high 60's.
