What's everyone's opinion on this? I know that it is a dinousar from FDR's New Deal, but what should be done with it?

Social security is just like communism: It's good in theory, but it just hasn't worked out. I doubt I'll be able to get it when I retire, so I really don't see the point of being taxed for it if my peers and I won't be able to reap the benefits, later. Damn old people! And they talk about the youths as society's burden!

The thing i dislike about SS is that it assigns everyone a number. You musk keep that number and live by it. every thing in life is based on that number. At my job, you use it to punch in. To pay taxes, apply for a credit card, buy a car, you have to use your social security #. It's the government's way of identifying and keeping track of you. And it IS a socialistic measure, as were most of FDR's new deal policies. So is unemployment.

In TN your SSN is your drivers lisence #. They are making it more and more a Federal Identifier. Soon the FAASS will be demanding to see our papers, Gestapo style.

FAASS is the Federal Aviation Administration Security Services.

Well, I don't get it, cause I'm an unemployed Brit and will eventually go back to England.. or someplace else where Mac can keep all her shiney little guns without the cops getting all pissy. We're thinking Columbia. You think the Drug King Pins would like a matched set of Female Assasins?

But, Cordy! I wanna go to the Bahamas!

I was thinking more of the continental edge of the Carib. Bahama's too expensive for me to retire to.
