I've just spent some time with my brother and his wife, both anthropologists, who came down to DC for the yearly convention of the American Anthropological Association.

They got to hear a speech by Ralph Nader, what a treat! His sister is a prominent anthropologist. Nader has a standard speech which he tweaks for each audience, but of course practically everyone does that. Anyway, he gassed on about "Adolf" Ashcroft, etc, etc. So he's running hard, but I suspect in the next election he'll be right down there with Al Sharpton.
