where's the image?

I just bought a very clean-looking sx70, loaded it with film and can't get a single image to show up on any of the pictures. They all just come out a shade of green and develop to black. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I love the camera and would hate to find out it's beyond repair!

Thanks.

Jennifer, the camera is not exposing the film. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but basically they all amount to the fact that your camera is broken.

Just to be sure, check the little exposure wheel on the front of the camera to be sure that it is centered (not all the way to the black or white side). It should re-set to the center position every time you open the camera.

There are companies which fix SX-70s. I don't have the name here, but check the web. Usually, however, the cheapest option is to pick up another one on eBay for $40-50. A standard repair is usually $80-110, fixed cost.
