Cody-How I wish we could pick her up! We would truly love to have a Sheperd-we had one a few years ago and loved him dearly. There is a American Orthodox Monastery in upstate New York- New Skete, that breeds and trains dogs-primarily Shepards. They've written two excellent dog book-"How to be your Dog's best friend" and "The New Skete Puppy Book" They have a web page-I don't have the address, but you can just type "New Skete" into a serch engine. They have connections all over the States and may be able to help you. Don't let the fact of them being monks intimidate you-I've visited there several times and they are great down to earth people who truly love dogs.

Hello Cody,

Won't the breeder take the dog back? Or maybe you could contact the rescue for your area. I know that they often have a list online. Would you mind telling where you got her? We're always looking for a good GS, but don't want to get into the same trouble you have.

Good luck.

Do you still have the GermanShepard to give away?

-- Anthony J. Montgomery (bopninja@usa.com), August 01, 2002.

Hello, Iam very interested in a female german shepard, particurily one that has been already trained. I have a 20 month old daughter and I need a dog who would be good with children. Is your dog okay with children? Also, I love german shepards. I had a mixed one as my childhood companion from the time I was two until 14 years of age. We also(my husband and I) had a german shepard but had to give him away at the time because we lived in a two bedroom condo, but now own a home with over an acre. We live in Columbus, Ohio. If you still have the dog to give away, could you please email me back? Thanks Amanda.

Hello, Do you still have the dog? I wish I could take her but I do not know how I would get her to where I live. I live in Albuquerque, NM and have been talking to my husband about how unsafe I feel. He works nights up to 4 days a week and those are 12 hour days. I am usually home by myself. It is not a fun feeling. I wish there was a way for my to take your dog. I have been researching dogs ever since he said that he wanted to let me have one but that the problem was getting the money. Please let me know if you still have her and if you would be able to help me get her here...maybe we could work something out.

WOW I am in NE Georgia and VERY much wanting to just "love" and let a German shepard run my home with love :)I had a German Shepard 7 years ago and beings she was so aggresive ( I had teens at the time) I donated her to a Police Dept. back in a small towm in Louisiana (originally where I am from)I have never gotten over the love and STILL grieve LEXA so very much and have never replaced her. If by any chance you have her I am willing to take her with love unconditional love to say the least. Just a hope that even though this post is "old" I might still be the lucky one :)

Have a nice day and email if you still have her. Please and take care good luck to whom may have gotten her, in the event that you found a home for her.
