i have an upaid fine for not paying and displaying a parking ticket in the lake district 2 years ago. its been to county court a couple of times and i have not attended. i have a letter to attend next week because the last time i did not turn up i was given 14 days sustpended. the bailiff reckons it is for contempt and i would still owe money when i came out. i dont believe a thing he says though. can they arrest me and lock me up for 14 days for not paying a £160 fine. this is a county court matter, the fine is from a council run car park. thanks mark

I'm sory Mark, we are a site that deals with house repossession. Car parking fines are a whole different ball-game. Perhaps you should try phoning the court offices, they may be able to help you.
