Oh, what a glorious morning!-Plain talkin'

It's hard to understand, but I know not everyone is a morning person. But then night or day people probably have a hard time understanding why some of us like to get up at 4 in the morning.

I went out to feed the chickens at first light and was met with the most beautiful sky. The stars were bright, a little bit of cresent moon was showing, the air was crisp and cold, with just a slight breeze. Our view across the road is beautiful with just a slight bit of a rolling hills, trees in the distance and cedar trees just beyond a farmer's field. The trees in our yard had a special look about them and there was frost of the ground. As the light started to show, it was glorious. I'm now really good with words, and I'm not sure you can describe the feeling anyway. Wow, what a blessing to behold such a sight. "How amiable are thy tabernacles"

I wish you all a glorious morning, too. God Bless.

Thanks, Cindy. I'm afraid here it was gloomy, overcast and chilly but no frost. Very wet though. I've been fighting a sinus infection and didn't want to get up. Sometimes though mornings are wonderful. Lately, I've been taking the dog out late at night, and the clear winter sky is fabulous. There isn't any light distortion so its unbelivable- I feel blessed that I get to see it.

4AM!!!!UG!!! As you know, I'm not a morning person! When I worked I had to get up at 5AM and thought that was awful! YOu must go to bed early, Cindy. I can't get to bed before 11PM and at 4AM I'm just snoozing good!!! ha ha!!! I try to get up around 7 but if I'm feeling lazy (!), I've been known to sleep in till 8 or 9 but don't do that often. I think 7 is early!!!! I don't like to get up before daylight. Just don't feel like doing anything then!!! I need sunshine! The few times I have got up early, early, I do enjoy the sunrise but then by 1 or 2 in the afternoon, I'm drooping! If I take a nap, I might as well hang it up for the rest of the day so I don't do naps, rarely!!! I have found I need at least 7 hours of sleep to function well. I do even better on 8! Not everyone needs that much though and I wish I didn't.

I need at least 8 hours of sleep, preferable 9 or 10 (I know, I know;). I've been getting up at 6am, taking second Eldest to early morning seminary. 6 is early for me, but I try to get to bed by 9:30 or 10. Sunrise here is a little past 6 now, and very beautiful. I was feeding goats between taking son and picking him up, but I like to do it in the daylight!:), so now I'm tending them a little after 7.

I've been getting up early for so long that I find it hard to sleep later! DH and I used to get up at 4:30 every morning when he had another job. Now, we get to sleep until 5:00 three mornings and 6:00 the other two. I love to watch the sunrise and see the land wake up. In the summer it is so beautiful with the fields planted and growing and the kittens playing with their mommys tails. I rarely sleep later than 7:00. It's usualy 6:00 and I get up to turn on the coffee and the computer.
