An Irish Blessing

May there always be work for your hands to do; may your purse always hold a coin or two; may the sun always shine on your windowpane; may a rainbow be certain to follow each rain; may the hand of a friend always be near you; may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Believe in yourself, know what you want, and make it happen!

The Irish have a way with words, and having that as a part of my heritage, I like your quote. However, my favorite is: May the light always find you on a dreary day; When you need to be home, may you find a way; May you always have courage to take a chance; and never find frogs in your underpants! May your troubles be less your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door.

My Uncle gave me a coin with this on it a long time ago and I always carry it with me..

"May peace and plenty be the first to lift the latch on your door,

and happiness be guided to your home by the candle of Christmas."

I've always been fond of: "May those who love us, love us. And those who do not love us, may the good Lord turn their hearts. And if the good Lord will not turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles, that we may know them by their limping." (An Irish friend told me this, but given his sense of humor, he may have made it up.)
