How in the world can there be 3 Pokemon movies, but NOT ONE Legend of Zelda movie?!?!?!?!? Grrrrrrrr..............

Saw Jinroh and Last Vampire. Both drew well during a week-long run.Last Vampire got wide distribution on DVD and VHS and showed up in mainstream rental outlets.Problem remains the pitifully small number of indy screens, not weak demand for anime films. That said, distribution can screw things up, too. Both films are stunning on a big screen.Audience was intrigued by the "look" of both films, though most had never seen anime before anywhere.Rumours afloat that Dreamworks intends to take over the rights to Miyazaki's films from Disney, who never bothered after a criminally under- promoted "Princess Mononoke" grossed only around 2 million bucks in N. American theatres.Miyazaki's "Spirited Away" is a strong contender for theatrical release if Dreamworks buys in.

What that isn't the Mononoke person? I'm pretty sure it is. Of course I'm almost always wrong but that's besides the point.

Anime movies-there's a touchy issue. I, myself have seen three of the Pokemon movies out of morbid curiosity. Someon mentioned a Legend of Zelda movie? There were Zelda cartoons way back in 1989 when I was barely 7. I watched every single episode and loved it! However, only 13 episodes were produced, but there are a few places to download high quality (150 meg MPEG and 100 meg DivX AVI) if you just ask. The cartoons don't follow the games at all and are simply just original stories worth taking a look at. Oh! I almost forgot one important detail, they are NOT anime. So what on earth am I going on about them for? Okay, next subject. One thing that will never be seen is Sailor Moon in the theater, unless you have several thousand dollars to blow on a 52" plasma monitor, THX 3D sen-surround sound and one of the DVD's. This littrle setup will basically be the closest thing to seeing anime in theaters. Perhaps I should be zee movie critic of the day, no? Here are my ratings of anime movies that I've seen on a scal of 1 to 10... Pokemon the Movie-[7] Pokemon2000-[8] Pokemon 3-[5] Sailor Moon R-[8] Sonic the Hedgehog-[10] Am I lame or what?! Heh, heh! I'd best stop now before someone kills me for posting way too bloody much!

i dunno exactly what u guys mean by anime movies - as in is it any movies that is anime aswell, or does it have to come under certain criteria? if its the first then it seems i have quite a few of them. my favourites include gundam wing endless waltz, princess mononoke, vampire hunter d, akira, most dragonball/z movies (dunno if this qualifies - but its just there by default, being the original anime i was introduced to when i was 5), rurouni kenshin one, evangelion, f91 gundam (side story of f90) and some others aswell.

dunno what id do without anime...

p.s. watch love hina - this series is hilarious

I think by movies they meant stuff being shown in actual theatres.

I'm not a fan of Pokemon...

But Endless Waltz was a kickass anime...I loved it

But I've been giving a Zelda movie a lot of thought. I'm a huge Zelda fan, but if they made a movie it would probably just dissappoint. Possbly a computer animated movie like maybe...Final Fantasy the Spirits Within, but I just don't think actors would work for a Zelda movie.

I absoloutly LOOOOOVE zelda and i've been thinking about making a movie of it since i first played Ocarina of Time in 5th grade. (I wanna be a director ^^) it definently should NOT be live action, i mean, it would look really cheesy w/live actors and some blonde dude w/a sock on his head...it's k in animation. i think it should be anime style cel drwaing but they wouldn't move all jerky, more vibrant and lively animation (think disney hehe) oh btw, i haven't seen the tv show for it, but i heard it SUCKED. they didn't follow the storyline @ ALL and zelda was like, lesbian. GAAAAAAAHHHH I WANT A OoT MOVIE!!!!!
