can I substitute cow's milk from goat's milk? because it's hard to find goat's milk from where I live, I'm far rom the province.And I'm not from US either. What are the disadvantages of a cow's milk? If I'm going to use dairy ingredients for my soap will it expire? for homemade goat's milk. Will my soap smell different because of the lye in a few days? I hope that ul answer all my questions bcause I'm just new to this soapmaking. THANKS a LOT!!!

I have used Jersey milk, whole milk, in my soap before and I couldn't tell the difference between them. The butter fat was about the same as my goats. I have also used canned goat milk with good results. When you get the milk freeze it in one ounce ice cube trays then transfer to freezer bags. When you add the milk to the lye mixture the ice cube milk will help cool the lye without changing the color of your soap to the 'country' tan of some soaps with milk.
