Jim, If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will find what is called the archives. There is a category on soap making. If you click on that there will be all sorts of recipes and good advice on soap making, as well as some links to soap making web sites. Have fun!!!

If you don't find the answer you are looking for go to pathetic Plantation.com they have a great soap tutorial. I have used it and it turned out good. My regular recipe is different...I can recomend a couple books if you want. Good luck... I love soapmaking. made a batch last night as a matter of fact. One hint..don't make it on a humid, rainy or foggy day....it separates alot worse then. Look for a dry day...cold or hot...but DRY. Have fun!!!

Jim go onto MMS and look at the recipies there, they have a calculator there for how much lye you need for different types of oils and its really easy to use. http://www.the sage.com/index.html

If you need any special help e-mail and I will try to help.

Aunt Jenny. I live on Vancouver Island on Canada's south west coast. It rains here all day every day in the winter(peanut butter even goes mouldy). Can I even make soap or should I wait till the spring? karen
