Apple sauce cinnamon ornaments

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I have been getting a lot of emails asking about my ornaments and thought I should repost the recipe.

Take equal amounts of applesauce and cinnamon and make them into a dough. roll them out and cut them into your favorite shapes. The bigger the better because they hold better that way.

Let them dry in the oven on the lowest possible temperature for an hour or so as to not burn them but to dry them faster than air dry.

Do not forget to put holes in the top of the ornaments before drying to put your strings on them.

Hang them on the tree or put small ones on Christmas packages.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!q

Yes I posted before but it was on someone else's question so I thought I should repost. I am glad you enjoyed the ornaments. You can sprinkle more cinnamon on them as the smell fades.

I have not made this because the cinnamon is so expensive here. There is really no place to buy it in bulk.

Melissa, Frontier herbs has cinnamon for around 3 or 4 dollars a pound. You gotta order through a member though.
