Happy to be here

There are days that I am so happy that I started this forum. The last several weeks have been stressfull. The whole family has been sick repeatedly. Our house is supposed to close on monday. Everything is with the underwriter, who holds my furture in his or her hands. I only got a few hours sleep last night, because was up nursing sick little ones. A chicken died yesterday because my son forgot to water and they knocked their temporary water bowl over. I guess I'll have to go out tonight and buy an actual waterer. All this going on and I'm like a cat on a hot tin roof. I have been having a hard time finding the motivation to do anything besides take care of my kids. Oh and I forgot to mention that I am in charge of the children's christmas musical this year. Tomorrow must be spent sewing black squares of scrap fabric into a patchwork backdrop for a sky. Then I have to attach little lights to it for snow. Saturday is a dress rehearsal and Pizza party. Anyway, here I am just getting my frustration into cyber-space. Sorry for venting. Anyway, I am happy that I started this forum and thank you all for participating. It is nice to read all your posts. I hope all of your holiday seasons are less harried than this one has been for me.

Vent away!

Girl, I so know where you are!!! We closed on our house last Friday - a month and a half past the original date. I was so upset I couldn't open my jaws enough to talk. On top of that - I was late on two accounts and was scared to death the mortgage company would see that and change their minds. Talk about STRESS. On top of that - now it is raining and raining and raining, no way we can move in. On top of that, Mama is having to see a different specialist every week for a mass behind her right eye and her health insurance has decided not to pay doctor bills, pays everything else, just not the doctor. Some kind of computer error thing. Just hang in there, once closing is over - the relief will be tremendous. We are never sent more than we can handle - I am living proof of that. You will be on my mind.

How did everything turn out LBF? I hope OK, did you close? I can really relate to this stress situation, its the story of my life. It always seems that something so simple becomes so complicated and a mess for us at times. I often wonder why we can't be like all those folks out there who look so happy and look blessed and don't have any troubles. I know thats not true, but when you're in so deep it seems that way. Guess i am getting a little too old for this stress and its wearing on me.

Getting our dairy off the ground is stressful and trying to hang on financially until the milk checks come in and just living on my paycheck is rough, but it does make us stronger. More than ever I need to ge tback to my homesteading roots, its what has saved us time and time over, being able to raise our own food, etc.

Sooooooo hang in there it does get better.

I think we all know how you feel. We currently have pinkeye running though the house. A real mess during the holidays. Just remember, things will work out and you will be able to relax soon!
