Dog Biscuit Recipe

Does anyone have a recipe for making homemade dog buscuits? I used to have one and can't seem to find it anywhere. My children want to make some for Christmas presents for relatives' dogs. Thank you.

Dog treats (like dog candies). Cut liver in one inch cubes (or bigger - not smaller - it will shrink). Dehydrate. Done.

You can do the same thing with heart as well.

Bev..

Like with any other recipe..there are a thousand variations. I'd suggest you go to the SOAR site.

I tend towards the recipes with whole wheat, wheat germ, and meat broth.

Here's the one we use.2 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour,1/2 cup nonfat dry milk,1 egg,1/2 cup vegetable oil,1 beef or chicken bouilon cube disolved in 1/2 cup of hot water,1 tablespoon of brown sugar.Preheat oven to 300 degrees, combine all ingredients and stir until well blended, knead dough two minutes, roll out dough to a 1/4 thickness, use typical cookie cutters to cut out,we use a 2 1/2 bone shaped cutter, bake 30 minutes on an un greased baking sheet,Recipe says it yields about 4 dozen dog bones.Merry Christmas.

Just a funny story about "Dog Biscuits" 2 weeks ago my daughter and I were rolling out "dog biscuit cookies" My oldest son came running threw the kitchen, and asked "making cookies" I said yes so he grabbed some dough and popped it into his mouth! The look on his face was so funny......but no harm as it was all edible!! He looks closer now! Denise
