Personally speaking, I take a dim view of ANY religion which denegrates another religion. Protestant, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Latter Day Saints, regardless of the religion. Each of us thinks that OUR religion is the TRUE religion, but very few of us wish or blame hateful things on others.

If I misunderstood your post, I apologize. I am only speaking of my interpretation of your post.

I have a Catholic friend that told me a while back that Catholic prophecy says there will be a bad pope but it certainly isn't this one. This friend loves Jesus, that's the main thing. Writer, are you born again, or are you just living by law?

This guy is the troll mentioned at the top of the lusenet forum listings (or one of his clones) This message was posted all over Lusenet the other day. He's going after a different crowd this time and fishing for reactions. When you see his "body of work" elsewhere, it's pretty obvious Jesus is mentioned only as a hook to stir people up. Not because he believes in him.

Jesus is Peace, that is true and you are not Him, so why do you use his name as if it is yours? Christian means like the messiah, you know it was never a last name he used. Savior like, kingly, where is the peace that your "name" states. Jesus did speak about legalists, would he pray that you opened your heart to love and to love as He would love???? You are accusing Pope John Paul of being the antichrist, I doubt that you have forensic evidence to support this accusation. Can you support this accusation?? Wouldn't this be called: being a false witness? Isn't this also gossip? which is spoken against by the Apostle Paul, yet christians do this under the guise of prayer concerns, and isn't this also having ought with a brother? Isn't this also going in the way of Cain? Since you are concerned about the mark of the beast and others "souls", wouldn't it be better to love them, forgive them, help them, pray for them in the closet, i.e. secretly( Iread that somewhere in the NT, didn't you?), feed them, clothe them, lift them up, bind their wounds (whether physical, mental, emotional etc), basically being like Jesus. I know that dumb WWJD that no one follows or does (just makes people feel good when they want to feel good) Open your eyes! and see the truth, you claim Christ (as a Christian) well Christ isn't a last name, it is being Messiah like, Saviour like, kingly, I repeat myself here. I think if people who call themselves Christians would actually act like it, as it is written instead of living it when convenient, maybe it would be taken seriously. It is true the world needs help, you claim to have the answer. LOVE. I don't see it in your words, I wonder if you have it in your heart (but you must have in your heart Jesus, who is God, and the Word says that God is Love), if you are going to be like Jesus, then maybe you should learn what He did, who He loved, and why He loved anyone of us at all.
