By The Associated Press

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare warned the public on Tuesday about frozen Michelina“s chicken nuggets that may contain pieces of plastic.

The warning came the day after the U.S. Department of Agriculture urged consumers to check their freezers for any of the 202,000 pounds of chicken nuggets that may be contaminated.

The product is being recalled by Luigino“s Inc. of Jackson, Ohio. No injuries have been reported, the Agriculture Department“s Food and Safety Inspection Service said.

The agency listed the situation as having "a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."

The chicken nuggets were distributed to retail stores both nationwide and in Canada, from Nov. 6 to Dec. 5.

In both countries, each box weighs 5.5 ounces, and the front bears the establishment number "P-18297" on the label inside the USDA seal of inspection.

In the United States, the recalled products have the name "Michelina“s Zap“ems Chicken Littles," and the back of the box has one of the following codes: "J1310N8," "J1312D8," "J1330D8," "J1323D8," "J1331D8" or "J1339D8."

In Canada, the boxes bear the name "Michelina“s Fries and Chicken Nuggets," and one of the following codes one the back: "J1310D8," "J1312N8," "J1320D8," "J1320N8," "J1316D8" or "J1339N8."

FSIS asked consumers to return the recalled products to the stores from which they were purchased.

In the United States, consumers can contact Luigino“s at (218) 723-5555.
