Fineline Developer for Kodalith film 2556

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

Kodak has ceased producing their Fineline Developer for their Kodalith film. It produced a very small grain on that film and I can not find a substitute developer that will do the same. HELP! Jack

I use Kodak's Super RT developer for LPD line film. This is a positive high contrast b&w film, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work with Kodalith neg. film. As for fine grain, I'm not sure. With such high contrast, there is almost no apparent grain. It most certainly yields a sharp image.
