Root All The Rage In Peru
LIMA, Peru -- It's smells bad and doesn't taste very good, but the maca root is all the rage in Peru.
Peruvians say it's their answer to Viagra. The Andean root is said to boost energy and sexual stamina.
But use of the root is nothing new. Archaeologists say the Incas harvested maca 2,000 years ago.
Soon men around the world may be able to test its sexual powers. Hersil, a Peruvian pharmaceutical company, plans to market maca tablets internationally.
