Ok, I have to share this proud Mom moment with you all. My daughter, Rachel, age 7 baked her first batch of cookies today by herself. (with just a tinsy bit of help) She did sugar cookies, and read the instructions, mixed them, cut them out, decorated them-I put them in the oven, but she set the timer. Then, to make me really happy, her big brother (age 10) said-"way to go Rachel-these are really good!" We've been having some sibling rivalry lately so I was really ahppy to hear him compliment her.

I'm sure they are great!!

Kids love to cook, and it is nice when they are older and have been trained in the kitchen. They can be a real help then when it gets busy (cooking supper, that is!!)
