A near miss!! [Preachin! Yep it sure is!!]

What was supposed to've been a "routine" surgery yesterday almost ended in heartache and grief. The low down lyin scum of satan thought he could pull a fast one on us but he didn't succeed! Glory to God! I went with our younger son [Maddies daddy] for surgery to remove growths in his nose and sinus's. He's just 31 years old and a picture of perfect health. That was not to be yesterday evening when he was "put under". His heart started doin things that it wasn't supposed to do-skipping along with "highs" and "lows" on the EKG.

He had a superb doc-a devout Christian who prays before the surgery and after as well. This time he was praying DURING the surgery!! He immediately called the cardiologist down to monitor the situation. It was kinda "tough and go" for the better part of about 2 hours before things started settlin down.

This procedure is normally from 1/2 hour to 3 hours in the most difficult cases. A little over 2 hours and this "simple" job was done. No cancer and no more problems are expected. His heart is doin fine! satan tried to seal from the Gibson family yet again but we KNOW Who holds our future as well as our present! Glory to God!!

Maddie still has her daddy, Beth still has her "other half", Lil Dumplin and I still have our #2 son and Bryan [ our #1 son] still has his younger brother! Jesus Christ still has a servant of His and we're all so thankful to Him for sparing Martins life!

Folks, without Jesus Christ, Lil Dumplin and I would've lost a son, he would've lost a heavenly home and our lives would yet again been a devestating loss of a very much loved one! Praise the Name of Jesus! If ya'll don't KNOW Him as your Lord and Savior now would be a perfect time to Trust Him with your LIFE as well as your SOUL! old hoot. Matt.24:44

Praise His name Hoot! I'm so thankful he's going to be alright. None of us knows what will happen, or if we'll get to see another day. Everyone single ones a bonus. It's been my experience that very few folks die in my ER who don't look surprised when they go. Remember that everybody and give the kids an extra hug tonight. May God protect you all out there.

Update on Marty. His pain med is keepin him sleepy and kinda "out of it" as he says but that's ok. He needs to rest some and let things heal up a mite. Still seeping blood from his nose but that's understandable I guess. Packing comes out Monday at 10a.m. He, Beth and Maddie "big gurl" will be down Christmas day for dinner. Hopefully Bryan and his family will be too.

Thanks for all the prayers for his recovery. They are much appreciated. Old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44
