Discount catalog for pets?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi,,Does anyone know of a good Discount Pet catalog? Emphasis on "discount"...All the ones I have are so expensive and can't afford to order anything I need for my dogs....Walmart is the cheapest I can find for pet supplies but they don't have much to choose from nor many things a person needs. Rarely buy anything for dogs, other than necessities, but now and than I would like to. Thanks ,,,,appreciate any suggestions,,,,

I use Jeffers for everything. They are by far the cheapestI've found, and I'm pleased with their service every time. They have a horse catalog, a pet catalog and livestock catalogs. They also have a website, which I think is www.jeffers.com.

Hi Patsy, I did a search for discount pet supplies, here are some websites I found. www.petranch.com www.petmarket.com www.petdiscounters.com and here are a couple of websites that lead you to lists of several different sites... www.shophunter.com/pet_supplies www.ladypalm.com/pets.html hope this helps. There's Country Supply, and Valley Vet also, I've ordered from both catalogs. Country Supply has the absolute cheapest Quest dewormer right now. I'm fairly sure that they have pet supplies also. Valley Vet is online, I've never checked for Country Supply.

Ditto the info on Jeffers, order/free their catalogs, pet, equine and livestock at 1800-Jeffers, or online some of their catalog at jefferspet.com jefferslivestock.com and jeffersequine.com. Their pet supply catalog has more stuff in it than you can imagine! Vicki

My favorite discount pet and large animal catalog is KV Vet Supply, 1- 800-423-8211, they have over 450 pages of stuff in the master catalog, if they don't have it, you don't need it. Jeffers can be a few cents cheaper, but KV Vet doesn't charge you ANY shipping charges on non FOB items and Jeffers does (on small animal stuff), so that makes a big difference in total cost. KV Vet ships within a few days, one of the quickest in the business!

Duh, I need to clarify that answer, KV Vet ships the same day as ordered, you get the stuff within days.

I've used the same catalogs for years. Whenever I'm ready to order, I go thru my catalogs (all free for the asking) and whoever wins price-wise (including shipping charges) that's who I order from. Jeffers used to win all the time; not so anymore. Country Supply won this last time. (At my vet's request, I do not use Quest dewormer.) Here's my list; most have a separate catalog for equine, small critters, large critters:

Jeffers

Country Supply

KV Vet

Valley Vet

Omaha Vaccine
