I came across a website that mentioned how to raise catfish in a barrel. I can no longer find thesite. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me information to do so? Anything would be appreciated.

I recently purchased a home on 6 acres, just north of Memphis, TN and have been getting a great deal of information from the rest of you, on countrysidemag.com, however this is my first contribution.

In the future I might be asking about the hazards of raising animals, and leaving them, unsupervised, while I spend 2 to 3 weeks, driving a truck, on the road.

I couldn't get the link to load in my browser, but i went into http://www.kurtsaxon.com and then clicked survival foods, and then raising catfish in a barrel.

Looks interesting, and it would help keep the birds of prey off of them.

Run a search on google for aquaculture or aquaponics, would recommend aquaponics if you garden. System can be designed very cheaply. Fish feed plants, plants filter water, totally contained bio-system where all you need do is feed the fish. Works well for me
