New Years Resolutions

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I always make a small list of resolutions that I would like to accomplish. I have learned that if I make a small and practical list I feel so accomplished when I finish something on the list. I want to 1. learn to crochet, 2. cut spending 100.00 a month, 3. be more outgoing(this is the hard one, but I am going to try to get out more, more church functions, etc. 4. learn to develope my own pictures, and 5. volenteer more of my time to worthy projects in the community and church. I do have a few more that are more personal but this gets me started. I also like to bring in the new year clean. I have spent all day puting up presents, moving furniture, dusting, and just all out deep down cleaning. Tomorrow I have to cook for my son's birthday party but Friday I will start on the Chicken pen and workshop. I want everything clean and ready for the new year!! What are some of your resolutions and thought for the new year?

To lose some weight, get a car, spend more quality time with the children, get a promotion at work.

Mostly to be a better person, to treat others the way I want to be treated, to have more patience, empathy, and to defeat my tired-ness through more exercise, and better eating habits.

I can knit hats, scarves, afghans, and dishclothes-this year I want to learn simple mittens and simple socks. I want to lose ten pounds, and get my cholesteral reading under 200. (I'm almost there!) I also like a clean house- my house is in pretty decent shape, but I have "junk drawers" that are a disaster-I want to clean out all that stuff. I've about given up on major resolutions, I can achieve small goals.
