Roll Call -What is your favorite day of the week?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I do truly love Sunday. The work is usually all done, the focus on spiritual matters, the big Sunday Dinner, visitng with friends and relatives. Cale usually never works on Sunday, to us it has always been a "Family Day" and not too much interferes with that. I enjoy the Sunday evening ritual of playing games, doing an in depth Bible Study with the kids, and then the back to school routine of bathing, ironing, straightening rooms and being prepared for the week. Then going to bed early, ready to face my second favorite day: Major cleaning day-Monday!!! (it really is a close second, I like to clean!!!)

Sundays are my favorite day too. It is the most relaxing day by far! After church and animal chores I get to spend the most time with my family all together on Sunday. Saturdays are fun, but hectic. Give me a nice quiet, spiritual Sunday any time!

Melissa, I sorry I had to chuckle at the one anwzer you deleted because not to many years ago that may have been me!

I like Sundays because it is day I most often get to visit Family & Friends. Today I am going a couple hours south of here to visit my Foster Son & his Family. I was down there a few weeks ago and was amazed how much my Grandson had grown and all the new things he was doing, I wonder what new tricks he has to show me today, maybe he will roll completely over! He does smile at the funny faces I make maybe he will laugh out loud today! In these 3 short months since his birth he sure has changed a lot and I am loving watching him grow!

Ya, Sundays are Great Days!

Hey Mark, I thought I had caught that before anyone else had, but I didn't ask what day everyone hated!...

Sunday. Church, family dinner, relaxing and visiting. Then sewing or crafts when everone is taking the Sunday ritual nap! It is so relaxing and gives you time to think and prepare for the week!

Sunday here too!! It's the only day my husband as off from both of his jobs. We get that day to do all the chores it takes both of us to due and spend time with my parents who he thinks of as his own!! My whole family eats together for dinner and then snacks on left overs for supper!!

Congradulations Mark on your grandchold!!! My sister is 4 months along and we can't wait till April gets here!!

I like Saturday's better. That's the day I do most of my resting and spending times with friends. Sunday's always seem to hard. First you have to get everyone up and ready for church which is an hour bus ride then I have to come home cook give all the kids baths and do the girls hair which is about an hour job, with braids and beads, do laundry, and make lunch for the next day. Saturday's I can relax watch tv spend time with the kids.
