Well, since Alison and I will be the first here to welcome the New Year ( I think!!??)...I'll get the jump on her and say Happy New Year now...because I'll probably be sound asleep at midnight :-)!! Best wishes and good luck in the future to all of my friends here, especially to Jay and Aunty Em.

Six pee-em here Pacific Standard Time, currently. While I plan on being awake this year at midnight, I hope to be outside watching Jupiter directly overhead!!! Last time that happened was in the 1700s sometime...

So Happy New Year to you all!! I hope and pray that everyone is safe...lotsa folks at Times Square, Seattle Center, etc. Gives me the creeps just thinking about being in crowds that size (even before all the nasty stuff that happened this September!)

Hope 2002 is a good one! It's the same backwards as forwards...is that a palindrome?

Happy New Year, everyone!

Well, I checked the statistics page before responding to this thread and I was surprised to see that we've now passed 10,000 posts to this forum.

Who would of thunk it?

It's been great these past 8 months getting to know all of you. And I look forward to continued friendship with you all in 2002 (and beyond that, hopefully).

BTW, I'm in the chat room right now (8:52 pm CST) in case anyone wants to chat for a bit. If not then I'll "see" you all next year. :- )

Happy new year to all. We've been away to my in-laws in Windsor, near the castle. Unfortunately they don't have a computer!!

We've just arrived back.

God bless you all this year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR -- from me too!

I was home last night -- midnight passed with me still working. I was baking bird food again, and putting that away, and cleaning the humidifier, which just HAD to be done, etc. Neverending I tell you!

I had planned to drink a hard cider at midnight, but by the time I was ready to do that, it was 1 a.m. and I decided bed sounded better. I was walking the dog this morning, and thinking, well, it's 2002 . . . WAIT! I'm not done with 2001! Ha ha! I've been thinking WAIT! since 1970 I think!

I celebrated the first day of the new year by going to see Fellowship of the Rings (again). The three hours just whizzed by once again, and it's still light out!
