At first I thought by "life list" you meant what we want to do with OUR lives :-)!! Haven't thought much about that yet, but yes...I do keep a list of birds. Never thought about keeping lists of mammals, etc. but I might start one! I also keep a list of various fish and crustaceans that hubby and I come across while out cruising the Atlantic Ocean and shoreline.

oh my....talk about lists (I didn't talk about it on Polly's thread because I wanted her to be the queen of lists ;>)) Yes, I have multiple life lists, birds seen, mammals, books read, movies seen. And then there is the lists of flowers, wild and domestic, grown, dryed etc. etc. etc. With the computer list keeping is even easier because I don't lose me lists.

I've thought about doing something like this but as of right now the list exists only in my head*.

*probably no longer a good thing as my memory is not as good as it used to be.

I used to keep a birding list, back when I used to birdwatch. I kept it for maybe 10 years. It was a lot of fun. Haven't thought about any other kinds of lists as far as recording observations, though.

Yours is pretty interesting!

Lists, yep lots, but not neccesarily the same ones! We do keep track of the birds that come to our feeders, and the snacks (mostly copperheads) so that we know what to watch for, but nothing else. Off the top of my head I can list raccoon, grey squirrel, skunk, possum, rats, mice, goats, duck, chicken,.... you get the picture. I've never thought about keeping track of the amphibians, but I might now. Like I said, we really only keep track of the poisonous snakes.
