I think I'm ahead of the curve (for me) in pre-tax sorting of paperwork. Something I try to do only once a year.

SAR,

Hubby said on Sunday that he wanted to take the tree down. He doesn't do the orniments, as that is always me. While he napped, I pulled a stool up to the tree and took them all down. I sat on the stool and propped my foot up. About an hour later, I was in so much pain. I ended up having to take the heavy drugs, and hubby seriously considered calling either the doc or the hospital. I never knew that just sitting there would cause that much pain. Oh well, at least it is down.

He went Monday to look at the trees which were on sale. He ended getting a 12 foot tree from Hobby Lobby. He got it at 66% off, and ended up only paying 100.00 for it. He sat it up in the livingroom, and Turner's eyes about popped out of his head. He (son) has already figured that he'll have to decorate the top of the tree from the overlook upstairs. I'm thinking it'll be ladders everywhere.

While I love Christmas trees, I hate to take them down each year. Oh well, next Christmas will roll around and I won't be able to wait to put up the tree yet again.

Apoc, I bought a 24" decorated tree from Wal-Mart for about $10 or so. It takes all of five minutes to get it out of the storage cupboard, fluff it, and set it up. It takes about that much time to put it away. I also have a fake wreath. The sum total of Christmas decorating at my place is accomplished in less than 7 minutes and is put away in about that.

That's how I survive 80-hour work weeks. (:

Hope that you're feeling better! OUCH!!!!!!

after reading the title, I had this impression of SAR outside with a chainsaw, eyeing the distance from the top of a tree to the neighbor's house.

Happiness is when you take the artificial tree out of storage, with the lights still on it from last year, plug it in, and it works!

I also have an artifical wreath for the front door. This summer I finished repairs on my shed. Freshly painted red with white trim. I was so looking forward to buying it a balsam wreath. But I didn't like any of the real ones, so picked up another artifical wreath.

I'm artificially happy for you.

Artificial wreaths? Don't they attract fish with those things?

LOL!

OG: As an artificial wreath person, I don't feel I need any comments from Ms. pink flamingos.
