Do any of you remember the Guyver anime & manga? I loved that thing, but nobody I know remembers it.

Answers

i loved the guyver series, i used to watch it all the time. and then there was that movie for it with mark hamill. that was pretty good for an american thing i suppose. yay guyver!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2002

The Guyver film by Screaming Mad George (Japanese FX whiz) was AWFUL! Mark Hamill was barely in it. The monsters were way too goofy, and the plot... argh. Stick to the anime...

-- Anonymous, January 04, 2002

I liked the second Guyver movie. It was better and the Zoanoids and Guyvers looked more realistic.

-- Anonymous, January 06, 2002

The Second movie, Guyver: The Dark Hero is more realistic than de first, the first was AWFUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLL! The Guyver wasn't realistic and haven't got any power... In the second The Guyver can do more things and all Device are fully functionnal!

i heard that the anime episodes go on ferther than 12 but the company that was trans lating them thought it was an unpopular show and stopped translating them. this person at www.bioweapon.com is trying to get ether the same company or another one to start translating them again.

-- Anonymous, May 06, 2002

You know the guy at bioweapon.com is cool. him and all his guyver suits.

-- Anonymous, May 10, 2002

Okay, I'm gonna say it nice and quiet.... THE GUYVER IS THE GREATEST CREATION ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH!!!! IT IS THE COOOOOOOLEST! Anyway, ya guyver is tight. The first movie sucked, except for the part where he first turns into the guyver in that alley. But the second..oooooo that was cool. Ya im writing my own manga. It should be complete in like 4 months. It's about a kid who grows up with an undeveloped guyver unit in him, and together the guyver unit and him grow up. He benefits from it while hes growing up. If you want to know more about it before it comes out email me. Dont mind my email address its my dads. it means Ray SYS . when you email me just say for Eric or hell throw it away. Thanks

-- Anonymous, June 05, 2002

sup guys...yeah guyver is awesome. Lately, i have had this enormous urge to download both the anime eps as well as the actual american made movies of guyver..but i am having a hard trouble finding them online. if someone could reply to me or email me at anasir97@hotmail.com with some info on where or how i can get them it would be much appreciated ... thanks and long live guyver! =P

guyver=kick ass

-- Anonymous, June 13, 2002

Ive got all the guyver series and i still watch it even now its a shame they had to stop doing it cose episode 12 reactivation was crap conpeared to the other episodes. Muntronics could have been better for the mosters. guyver the dark hero was the best out off the 2 films his abilitys are alot better but it would be nice to c a 3rd film to c what guyver 3 looks like.

-- Anonymous, July 25, 2002

Dude the guyver rocks. I saw it once up to episode six, when i was around 10, and that got me hooked on anime. About a year ago i found it again, and being that most of it is out of print i have been trying to carve out the remaining embers so i could own them. I have curently the entire ova, working on Guyver ooc. The manga is coming in an i have the second movie. The first blew goats so i forgot about it. i am pleased to see so many fans around. Perhaps when the manga get totally out n Japan, they'll start translating it again.

-- Anonymous, October 02, 2002

LMFAO! Mark Hamill as the Guyver? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! You jackasses are pretty dense, the one who played Guyver in the movies was none other than David Hayter.

-- Anonymous, December 04, 2002

David Hayter played Sean Barker in the second movie only. I don't recall who played the same character in the first, but he was milque- toasty. Mark Hammill played a side role, that of an FBI agent, I believe.

And yes, the movie was gay.

Long live Guyver Fans. I just started getting into Guyver again. I first seen the 2nd moive when I was a kid. Then about a month ago I was sick and stayed home from school. That was when the first and second American made movie of Guyver came on. I was amazed at the design of Guyver. I later told my friend who is into anime about it. He told me that they had an anime series of it. I downloaded the first 2 off of Kazaa and watched them. Then I was hooked. i now have all 12 anime episodes including the OVA. Guyver rules. I wish the series would have ended better instead of him looking at the mountain. *Sigh* What can you do?? Anyone want to chat I have MSN. Peace out.

I've been in love with Anime and Manga since my friend Kathy got me hooked on it in High School. Guyver was one of the first that I watched and is one of my favourites. The first Guyver movie WAS bad, but it was still fun, and very daring for a release in the usa where there was nothing like that really out there before. The second one was great as far as fight coreography though, it has some really well made fight scenes in it. I have found a site that lets you download some Guyver Manga: http://manga-daisuki.cjb.net/ there are some other mangas there as well. I myself and TRYING to find a place where I can download the guyver series. I refuse to touch Kazaa, (they could be a part of Kronos after all *wink*) so I'm limited to the web and to limewire. So if anyone has any suggestions, give me an e-mail please! Thanks!

-- Anonymous, June 08, 2003

Guyver is some of the best shit I've seen in years. The series shouldn't have ended with episode 12, but it was cancelled in Japan, that's why the ending was so stupid. Apparently there is also no chance of the guys continuing the series :(. Truly sad, cause it was and still is the coolest anime I've watched 2 date. Guyver lives on!!!

-- Anonymous, June 20, 2003

This Anime Series was an all time faverite of mine i own all episodes 1-12 on both vhs and dvd if you know where i can get the never released episodes please let me know for each persion that tells me and i find it i'll pay them well besides that i wish manga would release the other 24 episodes the guyver bio booster armour is nothing but an all time kick @#$ anime that can never be out done go guyver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, June 21, 2003

guyver is one of the best animes serises....but hardly no one really knows or care much about it....thats why the creator of the guyver should make a new movie...it would be a big hit, it'll be way better than all the american super hero movies...i just hope that they'll be making a movie again....guyver is the best!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2003

I remember THE GUYVER, still love the anime and bought both DVDs that cover Datas 1-12 yesterday at Best Buy for $45.98+TAX. Definitely worth the money considering that each Data video sells for $10-13 each + TAX and are only about 30 minutes a piece. The best way to bring back “The Guyver” would be to e-mail Cartoon Network and suggest that they air it. Dragon Ball Z was not well known before it was aired on Cartoon Network and after that, it became so popular that they dubbed all the episodes and they will be airing GT soon. If enough people e-mail Cartoon Network they may eventually air the Guyver and if it becomes popular, they might make anime for the remaining episodes which would kick ass. Pass the word to other newsgroups.

If you wish to e-mail Cartoon Network here is the link: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/gen/help/

yea i remember ..i was actually introduced to in back in my homeland of italy in the form of a comic book the video never came out....hoever they stop publishing it because the author was taking to long to draw it (as if..!!!) ...any way i got to the point when guyver 3 takes posession of the super guyver (guyver gigantic) and fights their old friend turned evil ......any body knows what happens then? or where i can find out?

ps yea the films were really bad

-- Anonymous, July 10, 2003

Its great to see that finally Guyver is being realised for its full potential. You can see this by all you guys in one chat page, talking about how great The Guyver is. If any of you guys (or gals) wanna download english eps of the Guyver, Try Kazaa, i helped to put those eps on Kazaa so that i could share the legend of THE GUYVER witheveryone that would be interested to see it. When you guys do eventually download them, if you do, please share, because everyone is really selfish, and when there is a shortage, it makes it a real hasle to download these eps. LONG LIVE THE LEGEND OF THE GUYVER Alex ------> The DemonSlayer

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2003

The GUYVER is the best manga made in my opinion the anime was a huge let down not because it was bad but because japan t.v cut the seriers so soon. I think anyone who loves guyver should by the mangas if you look on ebay and other sites like vizcomics you can find up to book 14 in english also the two live action movie sucked the guyver fights like a powerranger in both of them. Fans of guyver should also buy model kits mad by Max Factory you can find kits at hlj.com and digitalmadhouse.com.There is only 12 episodes no more than that I wish there was but there never will be .Thank you and forgive me for taking so much.

-- Anonymous, July 15, 2003

It's conincidence that I came across this site as I was searching for the guyver manga/video. I can't remember when was the first time I saw this but it must have be at least 10+ years. Anyway, still trying to find out what happens in the end of the story, here is the synopis up to Book#15 if anyone is interested.

btw, I am looking for Chinese version too, if I do get a hold of them, I wouldn't mind to do some translation as well.

My buddy has the whole series. It was cool, i watched the first part at his house.

-- Anonymous, July 24, 2003

Does anyone of you remember that brown furrey bird monster out of the first movie, i know the gender was Female but i cant remeber her name. I dont know why everyone thinks the first movies is so crap its great, i think the second ones shit. And whats the deal with the drawings.

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2003

Without a doubt the Guyver is the greatest thing to hit manga shelves and TV in Japan in my opinion...course TRhe first LAM was lame as hell but when they hit part two and they changed the actor who played Sean (David Hayter --The voice of Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid) it got even better. Besides the fighting stance the Guyver used in one was cheesy. But they used realistic fighting styles and it jsut amazed me. If anyone still reads this then talk to me sometime....my messengers are Yahoo- a_midnight_train_to_nowhere AIM- Kuhanten Frost MSN- kuhanten_frost@hotmail.com

talk to me sometime

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2003

The Guyver is Awsome! I first rented the first four episodes from block buster when i was like ten. Last year i downloaded the 12 episodes and the OAV movie. When i talk to anime junkies, most have never heard of it. imagine my surprise when this site has dates through this year. If anyone knows where i can download the rest of the manga, please email me. Any Guyver fan that cares to talk anime with me is welcome. My Aim name is ArcaneJudgement.

-- Anonymous, September 21, 2003

I love the Guyver and I have both dvds that Manga Entertainment released. Unfortunately I have not seen the first movie nor the first ova, but I did enjo Guyver 2: Dark Hero. I have just about all the manga currently and am patiently waiting for volume 21 to come out on Dec. 11, 2003. ^_^ BTW, www.warriorguyver.com is the best place on the net for guyver fanfiction and a message board to chat with other fans.

-- Anonymous, September 22, 2003

I have seen a Guyver poster in the background of a pic on a website, a while back of Guyver III, Does anyone know where I might be able to find one? (besides ebay) If anyone wants to see the pic just email me. Also is anyone willing to sell a Enzyme 1/12 Max factory kit? I will pay up to $150 for any Guyver max factory kit, maybe more depending on the kit.

-- Anonymous, September 23, 2003

i can't believe people are still into Guyver. i managed to get myself a bootleg of guyver eps 7&8 at a comic convention like 10 years ago and the animation was Very different and had Much better quality. the animation actually has a consistant style isn't all mixed up like the US Renditions or Manga releases. not to mention that the color palette for the characters are different. anyone have any insight on this? i know there was a petition to Viz Comm. to bring back the Guyver. there also used to be a Guyver website that had scanned japanese Guyver comics on it. unfortunately, it isn't around anymore.

-- Anonymous, October 02, 2003

Yup...Guyver totally rocks!! I saw about 2 eps when I was 7 but it stopped right when he died (tail in the guts 'n'all) ..I was impressed by its violence ( way awesome!) and am now downloading the 12 eps with kazaa. It introduced me to anime and im happy it did!!! If anyone knows of a site where they sell the comics, dont buy them all yourself...let ME know! :D

-- Anonymous, October 03, 2003

I want to buy the 2 guyver movies for dvd and i want to know which stores have them

-- Anonymous, October 03, 2003

Hey, me again. Dose anyone out there know if there was ever a game for the guyver? like an old SNES game or something?

-- Anonymous, October 05, 2003

As far as I know there was no Guyver game ever made. I think it would be awsome if they made a Guyver fighting game Bloody Roar style, so you can trasform into a Guyver or Zoanoid during a battle, and then add finishing moves, mortal kombat style. There could be some kick ass finishing moves in that game! Also if anyone has any Max Factory Guyver Models that they are willing to sell I will buy them for up to $150+ depending on the kit. or if you know where I can find some Email me. my email is swert2000us@yahoo.com The main one I want is the Enzyme 1/12 scale kit

-- Anonymous, October 06, 2003

I have eps 1-12 on my computer if anyone wants me to send them to them. Gee that David Hayter sure gets around, Voice overs in MGS, Sean Barker in Guyver: Dark hero, and he even did some of the story to X-Men 2. I can hear a lot of you saying that comics are still yet to be released e.g. issue 20 comin December 2003? where can I get these from??

oh yea. If you want the episodes just e-mail me. Guyver4mk@yahoo.co.uk

The Legacy of Guyver lives in all our hearts. We deserve material compensation for our love of this legacy.

i have just sent feedback to cartoon network with this website attached, if anyone has as well, please post it up, for all true fans can learn how to express our views uniquely but overall for the same cause, to get episodes aired to the point where the popularity forces agencies to translate the japanese episodes that never made it to the states!

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2003

I agree with all you guys the Guyver is the best thing to come out though i do admit the first live action movie of the guyver did suck i curently have the guyver eps 1-12 ,ova and both the live action movies at the moment i am working on getting all the guyver model kits im missing the movie guyver versions (including the guyver zoanoid) both the gigantic versions, gregloe, darzerb and ramothe i live in new zealand so are very hard to get without a credit card so if anyone from nz happends to come across this page and knows where i can get them let me know :) cracked_kiwi@hotmail.com

Hell yeah! I remember the Guyver, and I continue lovin' it to this very day. I currently own a few of the VHS, and both manga DVDs, but my thirst for the Guyver is far from quinched! I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get my hands onto some of the Max Factory models without ordering them from Japan's hobbylink, and also... Jack Armstrong was the actor for the Guyver in the first American movie made. The Guyver will forever flow through our spirits, rock on, people!
