The IDF’s elite anti-terror unit Duvdevan thwarted a wide-scale terrorist attack this morning. Based on intelligence information of an imminent assault, the forces swiftly mobilized and surrounded the Arab village Tel near Shechem, an hour northeast of Herziliyah. The IDF, accompanied by tanks, moved in and killed one Hamas terrorist and captured two others. The apprehended Arabs were transferred to GSS officials for interrogation. The IDF confiscated their various weapons and arms.

Commander of Judea and Samaria Forces Brig.-Gen. Yitzhak Gershon said: “The operation achieved its objective, and a very large-scale attack against Israeli civilians in the Samaria region was thwarted. The cell was on its way to carrying out a wide-scale, exceedingly-large operation with the objective of murdering Israeli civilians.”
