Do any of you use Glucosamine/Chondroitin Supplements? If so, what has been your experience? Have any of you with Fibromyalgia used it? Thankyou, In His Grace, Sissy

Glucosamine / Chondroitin works. Be sure you get the sulfate forms, not the Hcl

They even put it in dog food for elderly dogs.

I have both used it as well as recommended it for my patients..unfortunately it is pricy, but it does work..having said that, I should also say that it works better for some folks than others....it helped my knee arthritis significantly for about a year and then ,poof, stopped working...had a good year though!

I have used it but unfortunately it didn't help me. I do know people who say it helped them however.

This might not help you personally, but I do supplement it to one of my goats. She has CAE which is an arthritis. It's hard to tell in this cold weather, but it does seem to ease her movements.

I tried it for over a year, my Dad as well, it made his arthritis worse, and did nothing for me, I have a fibro type joint pain, not true arthritis, no wear and tear around the joints at all (had all the x-rays).

What does help me is avoiding animal products as much as possible, using no dairy at all, and taking vegetarian essential oils, evening primrose oil at 3000 mg. a day. Avoid caffeine, and eat enough natural fiber and fresh fruits and vegetables. Protein sources are eggs that I get from our chickens, and whole grains and beans, NOT animal source proteins or cheese. Organic soy based cheese only.
