Do any of you use Glucosamine/Chondroitin Supplements? If so, what has been your experience? Have any of you with Fibromyalgia used it? Thankyou, In His Grace, Sissy

Sissy,

I have taken glucosamine sulfate 2000mg/day for about 6 years, since a major injury to my hip. They help some with pain and flexibility in my case. Due to the cost, I stopped taking them for a short period of time and the pain in my hip increased. As I began taking them again my hip hurt less. I have read that all people are not affected the same by glucosamine. Just talked to my doctor the other day and he said that they are effective as a maintenance supplement. They keep the cartilage in your joints from eroding. Once it is totally gone, it cannot be replaced and you have a lot of pain, I know.

Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions just ask.

Talk to you later.

My doc is a young guy, and he recommended it for my knees, and well he should. He is 2/3 my age, and loves to run me ragged on a tennis court!
