Talk about your SPT [stupid people tricks], especially since they aren't even sure the theater will show the movie. In some strange sick and twisted way, I hope that it doesn't show the film, and everyone forgets to tell these guys....

Fans Start Four-Month Wait for Star Wars

S E A T T L E, Jan. 7 — Its debut is more than four months away, but the nextStar Wars movie has already created a line. Two Seattle fans have staked out their spots to be among the first people to see Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones.

John Guth and Jeff Tweiten plan to wait outside the landmark Cinerama theater until the movie opens May 16.

They don't even seem to mind that the theater isn't sure it'll screen the flick.

Guth is president of the Seattle Star Wars Society and Tweiten's a member.

They say donations from fellow club members will cover their food costs.

They're even working on a Web site, (www.WaitingForStarWars.com) where they plan to show photos of their epic wait.

When I was in high school, I knew a wild and crazy young lad who tried to sneak into a movie by merging with the crowd leaving the movie, and slowly walking backwards into the theater. He was nabbed, of course, but the nabbers were laughing so hard that they let him off.

Bet they wish they had clones to stand in for them since it will be a cold and wet wait.

I predict this will be a relatively short wait. Sounds like loitering and the movie theater isn't likely to put up with it.
