Adoption/hospital services in late 1920's San Francisco

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

To which hospital in San Francisco might a pregnant teenager without much money have gone in the late 1920's to deliver and give up her child for adoption? Any additional information on how that process might have taken place would help.

St Elizabeth's Hospital and Florence Crittenton home were both active in the 1920s and would have offered birthing and adoption services.

Good luck on your research
