Hi Everyone, My thanks to all that answered my questions about flushing, single births and barn ventilation. This is my first year with goats, I am waiting for spring babies and can't wait. I got so lucky the other day, my mother-in-law brought over one of my husbands old toys. It is a microscope and it still works just fine, I can do my own fecals, I still can't believe what shape this is in, even the light worked and it is over 40 years old, been sitting in a garage in orginal box.

Hi Barb I've never known anyone who does their own fecals. Let us know your experience, and if you get positive results, what do these little parasites look like? BTW, isn't waiting for your first kid(s) endless? But so exciting. And I can't wait either! With nigerians it's so cool because you never know what color combo you're going to get!

Lynn, That's one of the things I like about Nubians. It's fun to see what colors we will get each time.

Maybe you told us this already; what breed do you have, Barbara? Spring will be a good time for kids. We are expecting one more set this week, and I sure hope they come in the afternoon and not some night when it's 5 degrees out!!
