What is a definition of attitude in terms of psychology and who made the definition?
-- CHARLENE HARRISON (HARRISONCHARLENE@AOL.COM), January 16, 2002
I don't think there is any *one* definition of the term attitude in psychoolgy. It is a term used a great deal in social psychology, however, so I asked my colleague here are York, Ward Struthers, how it is defined in social psychology he gave me the following answer: "I typically define attitudes in my course in social psychology as an unfavorable or favorable evaluative judgment expressed in thoughts, feelings, and actions toward a person, object, or thing. It comes from many sources."
