Clutter reduction strategy

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread

As the largest part of my mess tends to be around my pooter and then spills to my desk, I have come up with this strategy. I mounted my server tower in the closet and cut a writing niche with fold down work top in the false wall between the closet doors. I store my monitors and keyboards in the niche and fold the work top down when in use. My desk is across the room and the paper shredder is between the two. The work top is large enough for the keyboards and a clipbord only and has a drink holder installed. No room for stacks, no room for clutter, once a note has served it usefulness, its worm feast. Will probably make a wall niche for my biology/chemistry initial research area also.

Jay...you put me to shame! You are sooooo organized. Will you be able to make housecalls to those of us who have totally unorganized "puter" or "msntv" rooms to help us reorganize our messes???? My coffee table which is supposed to support only my feet with my laptop on my lap, has so many pieces of paper and notes it's rediculous. Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated!!!! Really!

I'm not overly ambitious, just really bored. At times I almost miss the fighting, but return to my senses quickly. Course I am getting calluses on the fingertips of my right hand from having deep long winded discussions and battleship games on the net.

Jay...speaking of battleship games on the net, is that the same game as battleboats? Hubby plays chess online at itsyourturn.com and has seen battleboats listed there and was curious about the game.

Thats my new hang out late at night, when I should be in my adult size Dr. D's snoozing instead. This dang compooter and boredom has reduced my sleep to two hours of heavy snooze in the jacuzzi for the last week or so.
