I found a great nursery. Musser forests. It is on the web and sells trees, shrubs...at almost wholesale prices. They do guarantee what they sell. My husband and I are both in the horticultural field and I worked for a wholesale nursery. To keep it short and sweet... Buy small, it will catch up. The 2-1 transplants will grow in 3 years as much as the 5 foot 9 year bare root tree. Mulch, water the first year, (3-5 gallons 1X a week if it doesn't rain) and your 12-15" tree will fill out nicely. Fertilize the 2nd year. Keep it mulched @2 ft. each tree. If you have any questions, their staff will help you. good luck.
