i have recently got a camcorder now i wanna start getting my stuff onto the computer. the camorder itself does not have a firewire connection but the normal A/V analog output. Ive found a convertor that converts it to a USB input, my question being, is the convertor converting it to digital? or do i still need to get a firewire card to make things a bit better.

I had the same plan and went and got the ATI all in wonder Radeon card, and hav been able to capture video from that.
